Alphonso Dunn is an accomplished artist with a strong background in the sciences. Born in Jamaica, he moved to the United States at age 17. Inspired by childhood ambitions for a career in medicine, he completed his undergraduate study in Applied Chemistry at William Paterson University; however, his life-long passion for drawing led him to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art. Since completing his graduate study, he has taught college-level art courses and high-school science classes. He is the recipient of numerous awards, and his work can be found in private collections nationwide. He currently resides in New Jersey.
