Most of my life has been devoted to making art in some form, with nearly 40 years as a graphic designer and advertising creative director. Having experienced serious health concerns and a desire to explore a more personal side of my art, I have been creating collage, assemblage and mixed media artwork for the past decade or so. I love the challenge of incorporating traditional art mediums with my collection of found objects, vintage books and magazines, discovering interesting relationships for incongruent materials and images. I bring these elements together to evoke mystery, fantasy, humor, or simply aesthetics leaving the interpretation of the results up to the viewer. For me, the thrill is in the unpredictable journey and the surprise destination.
